SWEDEN!!

Here's a group of serious street racers & rodders "   I call them the PME."..
they call themselves ( PITEA MOTOR ENTHUSIASTS ) Just about a 5 year old club,
Now with almost  400 +  members strong, they have some of the coolest cars in Europe.
They have Europe's longest length drag strip in Pitea ( Pronounced..PEETOE)

Some of the members like Roffe and Fredrik have several cars ......Mikael has a Rod & Custom Shop...He builds cars for customers in several countries in the region.... He's an avid drag racer and has a bunch of cars including a Blown Willys and one of the newest projects is a BDS blown Big Block '65 Impala.....Lars (they call him Lasse) Has his 638 cu in  '69 Camaro on the track now.. Lasse recently told me he's getting  ready for a big race in Sweden. He updated  everything   . This car will fly this year!

Roffe has updated his Monte..Put it on a strict diet..loosing some pounds..getting better Strange Brakes and a new ring & pinion ratio... New motor for 2009 Putting on the  BIG Nitrous and going after his brother Lars '69 Camaro!  Better Put a ton of Nitrous to it Roffe!
Cause your little bro is going for 8.50's or lower!!
 
Fredrik "The Farmer" has his Ross Racing  '71 Chevelle with a Bow Tie 510 cubic inch BB  and  he's ready for crusin' and street racing in the neighborhood!!

2008  with a new paint job and a 565 ,
Lar's camaro is going 8:70's on motor..  ..

UPDATE FOR LAR'S CAMARO w/638 Mtr. 1-Pro Systems 4BBL

& Edelbrock Nitrous System...Camaro is consistant 8.0's and recently
(end of August ) went an all time best of 7.86!!

Roffe made it to the strip in Pitea recently to test the Monte. He says he needs to
put the Monte on a diet..Ross Racing 496 Motor runs strong, Steve Hoch turbo
400  is working flawlessly.

                               Now with a 565 Motor & 300hp plate

Roffe "Blasts Off" at the local dragstrip in Sweden.. This was a 8.96 Pass!

The Completely Re-Born Blown Big Block 65 Impala above belongs to Mikael Hedqvist... and the red 66 427 Impala on the right at back of the shop is owned by Rolf Berglund.. Oh by the way, that's a rare '25 Cadillac owned by Fredrik  the Farmer . It's former owner was a GM executive in Detroit.. It has an original aluminum GM flathead V8 block. These 3 guys are among the founding members of PME and have been instrumental in the rapid growth of the club!!  All 3 cars came originally via Ross Racing (Champaign, Illinois-USA)
